Hey! Iโm Carina Conti.
Iโm a photographer, actor, and dancer based in LA. I love photography, especially portraits, because they allow me to celebrate the best in people. Itโs my mission to create a space where you can feel free to express, explore, and grow closer to yourself, because, to me, thatโs when you are the most beautiful.
Iโm glad youโre here.

Authenticity > Perfection
I celebrate quirkiness, strong personalities, and vulnerability, because my favorite pictures will always be the ones that make me feel something. I challenge traditional standards of beauty by looking beyond the superficial and digging into the authentic. The best moments are when I get to help bolster a clientโs self-esteem by showing them how beautiful their photos are, and I canโt wait to do that for you.

Why all the Self-Portraits?
I started taking self-portraits because, as a multi-hyphenate creative, I wanted to be more comfortable with my own image. This has become an incredible lesson in self-love, and it has made me a much stronger photographer. My favorite self-portraits are always the ones that were the most cathartic; the ones that helped me get through a hard time, when I allowed myself to document my feelings honestly. I know first-hand how hard it can be to feel authentic and at ease in front of a camera, but I also know how powerful, healing, and beautiful it can be when you do. My hope is to help you access that, and capture it.

This portrait was taken by my friend Chad the Maverick

โI was apprehensive about being in front of the camera; I have never felt photogenic but have been on a mission to become more relaxed and have an honest vulnerability show through in images of me. Carina suggested that we journal and ground in the moment, which created a connection between photographer and subject. The shoot turned into a fun and beautiful experience. I am now looking forward to experimenting and creating an ongoing series of photoshoots with her.โ
